I upgraded from the worn out Bridgestone Duelers today to the Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2 today. New tires are very smooth and quiet.

I have a question though, I had the old tires for 30K miles. Due to me not having enough jackstands and no free rotations, I hadn't rotated the tires in approx 20ish thousand miles.(I know that's terrible) During the last oil change, I noticed the front driver tire had some high wear on the interior edge with a very worn spot for about 1/4 of the circumference. (See Below). Based on this, should I get an alignment or just rotate the tires at regular intervals? (I bought from costco so free rotations/balancing for life)

Might want to have that done...looks like your old tire wore unevenly on the inside...camber issue...

I vote get the alignment! My rear tires were bald on the inside due to not rotating. Just got larger tires and an alignment done.

Always get an alignment with new tires, and always rotate regularly. I am going on 50k with stock Duelers. I also am probably going with the Michelins next.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Voices of reason vs. my wallet which is already light enough after those tires lol. I've found a little shop that has great reviews near me that I will visit this week and see if they can take care of the alignment for me.

I wanted to go with those, but they don't make them for the size I needed. 255/65/R17. I think they did have a size for the 18in rim though. Is that what you have?

I jumped down to 245/70/17 from stock 255/70/17 Duelers
They were a barely noticeable difference.. Big improvement in traction and ride though.

I just got mine changed recently and at first didn't but then started to get nervous because every one said I should haha. Took it to Midas for a free alignment check and they were fine.

If you have a 4WP nearby, I believe they CHECK alignment for free. most alignment shops, once it's on the rack whether they have to adjust much or not it still costs the same.
