I am a huge fan of Ford pickup trucks since I was a young buck. I bought my first Ford pickup in 1972 when I was 16. Since then, I've always owned a minimum of one, and from 2013 to 2022, I had three parked in the garage & driveway. Last year I finally sold the 2004 F150 and 2011 Ranger. I replaced the 2011 Ranger with a new Tremor in Sept 2022 and parked it in the garage next to my 2000 F250. I have a 2024 Jeep Sahara and a 2020 Escape that are our daily run around vehicles.

As I get older, I find myself thinking about downsizing and a few weeks ago decided that maybe I should put the F250 up for sale. The Ranger as of today, has only been driven a little over 300 miles in 14 months. The F250 is almost 24 years old now and only has 29,884 miles on it. Yesterday was the first time that I drove the Ranger more than a couple of miles in one trip. (I put on a whopping 120 miles on it yesterday). As I was driving I got to comparing the F250 and the Ranger and now I am torn as what to do. Keep the F250 or keep the Ranger?

Both are top of the line vehicles and have every option that was offered. Both have been kept inside and have never been in the snow, salt or on a gravel road. Both are in pristine showroom condition.

Your thoughts, which one would you keep? (Maybe just keep them both?)

Your’e not using the Ranger and barely use the F250. You can clearly afford whatever vehicle makes you happy - sell both and the Jeep, buy an F250 Tremor and be happy. ?

Since the F250 is likely paid off, I’d keep both. If I had to get rid of anything, it would be the Jeep and use the Tremor as a daily driver.

Can't sell the Jeep! The boys would be very disappointed.

Seems like you don’t need or use either one of them. I’ve never understood owNing vehicle to sit in the garage. Sell both of them.

They look forlorn now! Sell the Jeep and the Escape, get a topper for the Ranger. That now becomes the grocery getter, and the 250 for the weekend stuff.

You didn't mention which vehicle your grandmother used only to drive to church on Sundays.

I’d sell the ranger. It’s still replaceable as is. That f250 is not. Sure you can get a new one but it’s a totally different truck. Lots of electronics.
Or keep it all. Just paying insurance and regs…

I'll agree with some one else and say sell both and get the 250 tremor.

If you have use for the 250 the ranger won't replace it. But the 250 will do everything the ranger can do - except park in short parking garages. ?

I'd love to pick up a third vehicle for the house. Something reliable so I can tinker on the ranger and not freak out it's gonna be done for weeks... Or buy a cj jeep and do a frame off on it.... Rebuild it to make it a trail rig but light enough the ranger can tow it to and from the trailhead....
