Crow_of_judgement,

You could also look into weight reduction/upgrades. Depending on what you are currently running, lighter tires, wheels, and rotors will definitely help in your quest for “pep”.

I never considered doing a bit of weight reduction, tires will have to stay, I'm running oem sized nito Tera grapplers and I need them for trips to my rural property.

You could also try using tow mode, which doesn't skip gears. I use it regularly. I save sport mode for special occasions. ?

Also, if what I read is correct, the majority of hp/torque increase with higher octane tunes comes form the octane increase. Using higher octane fuel should provide an improvement.

Wash and fresh coat of wax, DAILY, first thing in the morning. Washing will get rid of the dust that causes air flow interruption/drag as you drive.
Fresh coat of wax will help your Ranger "flow" thru the air much more smoothly.
And, you must use 303 products to get the full benefit.......
Result will be a 50% savings in fuel and a "feeling" of a 100 hp increase as your Rangers engine won't be working nearly as hard do to the "easy flowing" thru the air.

Wouldn't daily waxing defeat the purpose? The extra weight of the graphene will at some point cancel out the smoothening of the airflow over the surface.

Graphene! Lots of graphene reduces air friction. Plus I only, if possible, run hi octane (93). But I've always run high test in my cars and power equipment. I also add Octane Booster but an entire bottle only ups it by 0.8-1 octane, so that doesn't much of anything really (except make me feel faster on dump runs and it's from @AzScorpion's retirement fund company). Torco is a higher octane booster but expensive, cheaper to find an all-downhill route than adding it ... =p

I didn't realize that Tow Mode makes the tranny go through all the gears without skipping any, I may try that more often.

Soupie getting it on! On the way to the dump that is! =D

Apparently that stuff only builds to a particular mil thickness, after that it is removed as it is reapplied so no problem there.

It may, but I thing the overlapping coats will outweigh the weight. In the case of 303 Graphene, "more is better" !!!
Just ask Dave !!!

Another possibility would be to overfill your tires, including the spare, with helium. Also add a very large lightweight bladder/balloon inside the bed, and fill it with helium.
This should reduce the unsprung weight of your Ranger, resulting, again, in fuel savings, and the "feel" of added horsepower.

Of course, the most obvious solution is to remove un-needed weight.
Something like this should easily gain you HP and fuel savings at the same time.....
Side benefit.... you don't have to get up early every day to wash/wax it, nor do you have to worry about the dreaded "body panel alignment"....

Pretty hard to get something from nothing. Can’t adjust anything like the old days.

The only way for me to increase horsepower is to build a time machine and go back to a time before I joined this forum.'

The weight of all the stuff this forum forced me to buy, from a "fire missile" button to a center console tray, and hundreds of other things, has resulted in poverty and only a one-hundred pound payload.

Towing? I'd have to remove my 3-ball hitch in order to have any tow capacity at all! =p

But ... it's not all negative. =)

The warm glow in my heart and my peaceful sleep from supporting @AzScorpion's lavish lifestyle (month-long trips in a new truck? I can only dream) makes it all worthwhile.

My new solution for dump runs is Lil' Soupie Jr. which has a higher payload capacity than my decked out Ranger! =D
