Did you remove the yellow “Police line do not cross “ tape?
No, Andy I didn’t but that’s only because it was up before I got there. Who knows what those two get up to - I don’t judge.

I heard rumors that some neighbor lady’s body was found there. They must’ve caught the culprit.. it’s best not to judge.

So when does Polish Eagle land back in AZ?
Late Wednesday and I'm not liking the weather forecast! ?

Our morning lows are higher than the daily high here in Pagosa Springs.

Vacation is finally coming to an end so we got up early and headed out while it was still cool outside. I guess the heat wave is heading this way since it's going to be 90 today but it was only 51 this morning which made it nice.

Our first stop was Treasure Falls and it's right off 160 at the beginning of Wolf Creek Pass. You can see it from the outlook area and it's a very easy short (1/4 mile) hike up to it so it get very crowded here and the parking lot is small. We were there just after 7 am and had the whole place to ourself.

View from the lookout right off the road.

This is the bridge where you can get your first closeup of the falls from.

You can walk down in front of the bridge and get a look up the falls.

At the end of the bridge there's a small trail to this area showing you the damage from a storm back in 1985.

Back over the bridge you can go up to another lookout called Misty Deck. It's named that way for a reason, you will get wet up here. lol

After leaving the Falls there's Wolf Creek Lookout right in the middle of a hairpin corner. It's kind of a dangerous spot to put this but it was early and not many people on the road like the day we got here. Coming down the hill it's tougher to pull over into it. Just some nice views of the valley.

At the top of Wolf Creek Pass is the Continental Divide. There's several trail leading out from there and it wasn't easy but I talked Annie intone last hike today. Good thing we're leaving tomorrow or you all might be reading my obituary if we were staying and she had to go on another hike. lol

There's no trail signs just 3 trails leading in all different directions. We were talking a a couple who said they've done this several times and we followed them for a while. Little did I know they had no clue on where the first trail started either and we took off from them after a while. We made our way over to what I know now was Wolf Creek Ski area and came out on one of the slopes. It was easier to just walk up the slope than to try and go back and follow the trail up along the ridge.

At this point I still had no idea we were on the ski slope and didn't know this was a chairlift until we got closer.

The views were getting better but Annie was beat from walking up to the lift area. Looking back you can see where we were the first day we got here up at the tower on Lobo Lookout. That little thing sticking up on the mountain is the radio tower.

After a brief stop we started up this hill to see what's at the top. It was steep and we were now up over 10,000'.

Annie made it to those rocks on the right and gave up. She told me to go ahead and she went back down and sat on the picnic table and waited for me. I came this far no way I'm going back now! :captain:
