Thanks,I’m 10++ older than you. I use a sun screen when parked, but it seems in the summer, the a/c isn’t up to par. I think I’ll skip the windshield and just tint the side windows.
I got pulled over in Hillsboro beach for having a headlight out, during the day.I had them match my front tint with the factory tint on the rears. No issues with night driving. Like Doug said, cops usually don’t bother with them unless you’re in a small town or county. I was only stopped one time with my last truck, and it was by small town cops in Hillsboro Beach FL, (8 cops, 4 of which are Sergeants patrolling a single 3 mile road through town), but they were just fishing. I rolled down all windows to put them at ease. No ticket or warning. They also stop people for 2 miles over the speed limit, so be aware. Cops in TX and CT have never bothered me.

at the time I had an infant in the back of the car. I don't think the 3 cars that pulled me over wanted to deal with the hassle of that paperwork.
The clear ceramic IR will cut even more heat, in fact most.
i have 50% on the windshield 25% on the front two windows and 35% over the oem stain windows no issues seeing yes mine isnt legal but i really dont care... my si had 25% and 5% on it so meh
