Looking for a set of summer tires. I do not go off road, other than dirt roads to get home. Original tires had plenty of traction, just didn't last 36K. I drive conservatively, use truck as daily driver with light hauling. Looking to improve milage without sacrificing handling in rain. Any ideas froom those that use truck in similar fashion?

How do you like the ride, noise etc? Would you buy again?

I also had to replace the factory tires at 27,000 miles, I baby my truck & only run
very mild off road when hunting. those Bridgestone tires were LOUSY !!!
I had BF Goodrich Advantage T/A tires installed, as they were highly recommended. the ride is smooth & the mileage is the same as before.
however, these tires suck in rain. when these wear out I will do some research & try to get a better tire, so I am following this thread. sorry I couldn`t be of any help.

Cooper AT3 4S are highly rated for wet conditions and seem to offer a nice middle ground between highway and occasional mild off-roading, plus they look good

Thanks. Went to Discount Tire to compare, what a waste. No ratings for braking, rain etc. Why have a comparison option if they don't give specifics like that???

I'm planning on installing Continental Terraincontact h/t before next fall. They test well per tirerack against all other tires, and given my lack of off road use, I believe they will do well for me.

Take a look at TOYO Open Country H/T II They have a Extra Load rating. Good highway tire, seasonal and 70K wear with high marks for ratings. I had them on my last Ranger and when my factory tires are done that’s what I’m replacing them with.

My stock tires are Bridgestone Dueler A/T and with 30K on them by end of summer will get the new ones
