My main purpose for ordering my new Ranger was to make it so that I could actually get to all my tools and safely haul all the stuff that was so iffy on my old model Ranger. My old Rangers were functionally one-seaters because of all my stuff stored in the passenger seat and foot-well.
I removed the back seats (rear set delete not available on XLT). I ordered and installed the XL seat delete trim pieces.
I fabricated a aluminum rack (for lack of a better word) to attach to the old seat back mounting locations, installed a fabric and mesh storage solution meant for a full size SUV. I added storage bags and bins that fit the remaining spaces. The old seat bottom loops work great for attaching bungees to secure the tool and other boxes. I bought a mobile vehicle office storage bag (with cooler) for the front seat.
I can now EASILY get to all my tools in seconds, I can move all my paperwork, laptop and plans to the rear storage in seconds also. I now own a fully functional mobile office and materials hauler that also doubles as a true two-seater truck.
This could not have worked out better.

Why not a bed cover and then add a full bed pull out tray for storage? Or do use the bed to hail dirt like items?
Items could be carried on the pull out box if needed. Maybe a rack above the bed cover.

Yeah, I load up the bed also. I carry a bed extender that plugs into the receiver hitch. I often carry 16' lumber and have on occasion carried 20' material with a weight on the front of the load. After every house build I fill the bed up with all kinds of materials and equipment. At least once or twice a year I will carry about 3 cubic yards of pine bark. This trucks primary propose is for hauling materials and a mobile office for my custom home contracting business. It's the perfect fit.

Sounds like you need a rack and trailer. :muscle:
