If they'll warranty their stuff, who cares. Buy what you like. If their customer service is poop, well, I don't go there.

Does anyone have any experience with Akkon as a headlight brand? I'm doing some research on what I want to replace the factory XLT lights with. I know Alpharex is the preferred staple on here, but I really like the look of these but I dont know about reliability:

I too like the looks.
Questions I have are;
1... The pinout on the connector fully compatible with ranger so you can enable Lariat DRL mode.
2.. Warranty.
3. DOT certified
I like them not having the side reflector in the housing since we have side markers already.

Agreed, like the looks. Would like to see light coverage and cutoff.*

Looked them up on BBB. The complaints don't look good. Early failures and water leakage. Doesn't look like they stand behind their products either. I'd say buyer be aware.

That's exactly why I wanted to ask the wisdom of the crowd. To be fair though, Alpharex has the same complaints on BBB.

I can't find anything about the warranty on these.

One of the main reasons I'd lean toward the Mishimotos is their 5 year warranty vs 1 or 2 on Alpharex.

I do like the look of these.

The inner "arrows" ruin the flow for me. Very nice assemblies though.

I will probably end up trying to email Akkon directly about their warranty when I get closer to actually ordering something. I like the look of the Morimotos as well but they're just way outside my budget right now.

I have seen a few “Chinese” aftermarket options saying they’re for Rangers but most of them do not fit the NA vehicles. The tabs on them are different enough that they don’t fit. As another mentioned the connectors are different too. I think Vland is another one that doesn’t work

Just looked up Vland and yeah that's for the Australian version. Given that the pic for the Akkons has them on a Ranger with the NA bumper I think that aspect is at least fine.
