i maintain full control now and it doesnt cost me a thing.
i have a button to press if i want to turn it off
The circuit resets itself by default, so you don't have 'full control'. The concept is foreign to you apparently....

You can turn ASS on in sport mode……. But yeah, it’s probably just an absolute pile of sh*t. Might as well put a ā€œFreeā€ sign on it and cut your losses now.

yes i do. as i always have mine on. its perfectly set up for my needs. I guess individual needs and wants are foreign to you. What you want...is not what I want. and mine is still free.

Ok , when you pull it back in Sport , the Ass button on console lights up that it's "off" , IF you push the button , it will "go off" ,indicating that ASS should work , tried it all the way home , sometimes it did , mostly it didn't, McDonalds drive through, engine stopped at the speaker , but 2 other complete stops, it kept running and the little @ with the line through it would come on like it wanted to but "wasn't allowed"... 2 stoplights on the way home , died at one, purred through the other ... tow mode seams to not let the ass work at all , no matter if you hit the button again or not ... so , I must have turned the Ass back to on while in sport , which I assume I've never done before since it's never worked that way before , but now knowing it's supposed to have ASS in sport mode , it sucks even worse than I originally thought , perhaps I'll get a shovel and dig a little, then I'll see if I can tell my ASS from a hole in the ground...

There are a couple of conditions that will give the no ASS symbol. Battery charging, heavy HVAC usage, etc.

If you select the "economy" display one of the screens will tell you why it's not allowing ASS to function.

Since battery voltage is one aspect of it no activating, have you had the battery tested? Just because it's a '21 doesn't mean the batter is in good shape.. perhaps it's failing?

No , haven't tested , but don't think so, I'm about to get a tune so it's all for naught anyway , just a whole level of unnecessary electronics tied in to if your engine stays running or not... another meeting I wished I had got to sit in on ...

Still might be worth checking.. I turned mine off via forscan as soon as I could... I did find out plugging a nightlight into the plug behind the console made it think more electrical current was needed so it wouldn't ASS if that situation existed - one of the conditions noted in the manual.

I heard for the most recent orders ASS has been removed. - $50 from msrp.
That is true, my 22 came without A$$, dealer recommended selecting delete option to speed up delivery

Dude - as soon as I got my trucks home from the dealer that is the FIRST THING I DID... Disable that SH@T.

Pull that little plug off the battery terminal and it disables the auto stop... There is a vid on youtube.

The whole process takes less than 30 seconds...
I got a tailgate light bar that plugs into the 4-pin trailer plug and that disabled the A.S.S.

This is true but… it also disables the BMS system. That means your battery is taking a full charge from the alternator all the time. The AGM batteries don’t like that to much!

The alternative and simplest method is using Forscan and turn it off there! Then you can also tweak all kinds of others things. Warning, this becomes an addiction of, what shall I manipulate today!
The simplest and cheapest method is to plug a small night light into the 110v outlet. If the truck detects any draw there at all, the ASS won't come on.
