Thanks for the helpful tips! I think they’ve started using the tinfoil as nesting material.

So far, no owl decoys or fake rubber snakes needed. It turns out, the birds here can’t tell the difference between a snake and a bungee cord. ? ??

But this is really clever and uses something that is always to have handy as well - brilliant!

that hitch is nifty! i wonder if its winch worthy? most of the front mounts i have seen take the place of the recovery points.
Absolutely. I've engineered this hitch for winching. This hitch provides lateral support when using the recovery hooks as well.

I can confirm it is a well built hitch. I would go so far as to say it is built better than the factory hitch setup. It is quite stout.

Simple and cheap replacement for Ford deleted middle tie downs.

It just required chipping away a little spray on bed liner from the threads. I used blue loctite to ensure they don’t loosen on their own.

Well, I am at the cottage and I keep a small utility case loaded with cargo straps and bungee cords on the floor of the back seat. I figured, what the hell, I’ll try it. They seem to be working and they’re always in the truck, so maybe that’s one less thing to be posting in the “What did you receive in the mail today for your Ranger?” thread.

I can relate - I got mine but honestly hope that I never need to use it. But if I do, I know I'm covered. Same with my winch - I hope I never have to use it.

Washed and waxed my Ranger and mom’s Escape for the first time in like 2 months and many road-trips. The Escape went to Mexico a few weeks ago and I’ve been all over Texas lately. Tried Chemical Guys Diablo wheel cleaner for the first time. Not a huge fan as it worked well but took most of the bottle to clean two cars. I’m definitely going back to meguiar’s and staying with that. Of course installing new suspension parts means I was obligated to spend a few hours to clean up the rig inside and out

Also warranty is up in 6k… and I just happen to have a HPTuners MPVI2 from my last Mustang that’s itching to be installed…

I had a pool a few years back.
the robins didnt directly shit in my pool
they did however carry the poo from the nest in their beaks and drop it into my pool as they swooped in low on a bombing run.
I'm not sure your tinfoil will do anything but become targets for them to try and aim for.

It’s not the barrel bombs - the bastards were roosting on my mirrors and roof rack and crapping all over it.

Man, I thought the starlings and crows were annoying! It turns out, the first sign of spring is a streak of crap down the door of my truck.

So the back wall portion is about done. Just need to do final QC and touch up some things and hide staples.

Final cost was probably about $160 (maybe $200 if I didn't have some extra parts lying around) for the floor and back wall, but ya'll go ahead pay $2,000 at retail for a rear seat delete insert. (inside joke from another thread)
