i know you guys are probably tired of my feeder posts, but we are basically homebound so this is great entertainment for me and the mrs. here is a visitor we dont see often, a northern flicker.

Sometimes we have 'red breasted woodpeckers' that are similar.
But, the Flickers are 'twice' the size.
Just asking.
But that's a GREAT picture, anyway.

Hi Joe,

Flickers....UG! destructive birds! We are plagued with them and their incessant territorial drumming on roof top metal... They drill into saguaro cactus and hollow out nesting rooms...drill through stucco on the side of the house too.... Tired of patching up holes...

Dover Air Force base had their air show over the weekend. They missed 2020 and 2021 due to Covid. For the first time they had both the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels this year.
