What percentage is highway and city driving to get that high MPG??????

Oh, I'd say maybe 90% of my time is spent driving around town here in Palm Beach County. My job is some 40 miles round trip on I-95 and whoever knows I-95 in a big city KNOWS how it is, bumper to bumper jammed packed stop and go zoo. The other 10% is spent out in the glades, the levees that go miles and miles. Hope these details help.

What doesn't "jive"? Look at the digital display that I posted...... it is what it is, don't know how one would alter one of those. Seems to be working perfectly, too. My wallet is happy, too. Maybe it's all one big illusion lol
Zane, great to hear your wallet is happy! :like: Mine has been like this ever since joining 5g :frown:

How often do you reset your mileage gauge? I reset Trip 1 every fill up, I let Trip 2 run to get sort of a lifetime average. If your gauge is like mine, that 27 is actually more like 26 hand calculated.

I hit the reset ever so often. I also reset after every oil change. Could be what you say 26, 25, who the heck knows, I'm not that concerned about it. I do know that it always goes back to the 27 range after a short while. And it's not just my truck, either, because the mileage was about the same on my first Ranger. Could just be a Florida flat road thing, lol I just can't understand why some folks on here are getting 17mpg or the lower. My last full sized F150 with an 8ft bed did better than that!

I'm in south Florida, so maybe that has a lot to do with my high mpg. I've often wondered why so many others on here are in the low 20's lol because even if I drive in sport mode every single day, I cannot get the mpg to go down much....good problem to have, I guess lol
Is your posting from the Display or calculated at the pump? If the display, have you verified the accuracy.
One other thing, 2WD or 4WD?

It’s the display in my truck, all I really go by lol Truck is a 2019 XLT 2WD Here’s another shot to show it’s a cluster shot from inside my truck and not some calculated nonsense from a pump or something lol

I would test the Display against calculated. Mine was off by almost 10 percent.
Once I recalibrated it is almost dead on when calculated.

Ugh. I average 16-17.

But then my driving is probably the absolute worst for MPG.

I have tons of short trips of only around 10 minutes, and it seems everywhere I go is always uphill.

My 2018 Frontier Pro4X got 11-12 over the same driving pattern so I'm happy.

This is just my opinion, so dont shoot me for giving it. I don't believe anyone with unrealistic MPG when all they do is quote the Display and haven't verified it against calculated.

The display on my TV says channel 5 but I don’t believe it lol All kidding aside, I don’t really care what anyone believes only showing what the display in my truck says and I don’t think it’s off by that much because, like I said earlier up to someone, I had another 2019 Ford ranger and when I traded it in it had about the same mpg on it. So the displays on these trucks aren’t off by that much….in my opinion

I’m in Fl too and this was strictly on the highway with no stop and go. I’m getting these numbers. MPG calculator is properly adjusted to match hand calcs.

Agreed. And by now you've gone though a set of tires.
Are they the size now that came with the truck?
