Finally getting around to installing my Ford ranger lifts 2 1/2 inch leveling kit. I’m stuck on the tie rod removal. Anyone know how to separate the dang tie rod from the spindle? On Robbie‘s video it’s a piece of cake but he does have the aluminum knuckles. I can barely move the spindle back-and-forth even with the whole front end off the ground.

Give her a love tap with a big hammer. Hit the spindle a few times and partially thread a nut to the top of the tie rod and place a socket on it and hit the socket (so you dont damage the threads).

Thanks for the tips! Just didn't want to break free I guess. Finally went and grabbed the Pitman arm press from Autozone and it popped right off.

I'll save the new problem for the next thread...
