Looks like I might be going back to the tow tune so I can use 87 again. ☹
I've been thinking about dropping the ford tune for a bit. At least I can do all the forscan mods and save a couple a bucks.

Let me know how you like it, I never tried that one. I went right to the 91-93 performance tune, tried the tow tune and have been running the 91-93 soft shift for over a year now.
I will. The soft shift tow tune is good also

Have you seen the Black Horse Atlas roll bar?

It has recently caught my attention.

I LOVE that one...but there is an issue with it covering the 3rd brake light....I believe.
Not to say you couldn't move that back/install an aftermarket 3rd brake light.

My next $1000 upgrade will be a tank of 93 octane
Funny you say that.....I've had the wife in my Ranger for the last several months due to rising fuel costs and just trying to keep the mile down on my truck. Anyway, today, at Costco....for regular unleaded, we are where 91 octane was last week (that's as high octane as we get in Colorado).....$3.05 to $3.55 for 85 octane in 1 week. So I've decided to park the Ranger in the garage during the week and drive the Mrs. to work.....91 octane here at Costco is $4.04 today......
So we were energy independent and paying $2.50 for super unleaded until the Crypt Keeper came along with his arse hole "squad".......all because of vitriol hatred for one man are WE ALL PAYING DEARLY!!!!!
Political theater is great till it hits you SQUARE in the mouth....
I'm guessing JB thinks we are all just a bunch of morons and didn't see what he did on day 1.....;)
Not that the GOP would do squat about anything anyway.....just look at 2016-2018.....
We need a RESET....lol
Maybe a little chlorine in the gene pool too......
I delete that thought.....

Well, after reading what WON'T be on my 2022 XL (on order), I guess I'd spend $1,000 bucks on hood struts (that really stinks), the awesome 3D printed ignition key bezel thing, maybe the now removed second 12V plug, the two missing tie downs (of course), a light bulb for the PRNDS, I guess an engine cover (does it really help reduce noise, doesn't seem like it would do much), folding jump seat headrest (although someone mentioned a wood dowel hack for that, yikes, really?!?), maybe adjustable front headrest (are those really gone now?), the glove box damper (!), and possibly stuff to be deleted between now and the build!

The only plus I have for all that missing stuff is that I have the ASS delete (auto start/stop removed due to chip shortage and I save $50 - woohoo).

IF ... there's anything left over from this magical $1,000, then I'd like to get that great 12V plug mod for the bed and, of course, a tailgate damper!

it would get spent on gas, guns & ammo..........
at the moment it would have to be a cheap gun, a real tiny box of ammo and about 4 gallons of 87 octane...
it would be more funny if it was not close to true.

Well since I’ve already spent way more than that on what I’ve wanted first I’d either put it towards a set of 5 285/75/r17 K02’s, a new rear bumper or King 2.5 EXT coils. I’ve already got my onboard air and trigger 6 shooter sitting waiting for a nice day to install.
