I thought Dave's ego and sense of self-worth is what broke them up ?
Yeah he has a healthy ego but IMO after Dave left/was kicked out all the Van Hagar stuff sounded the same. Roth VH had a crazy amount of variety from song to song, album to album.

I've never understood the whole ego breaking up of great bands. It seems making millions of dollars an having millions of fans would make you want to keep the party rolling.

For a second I thought you were making a crack about @AzScorpion and thought @RANGER PRIDE put you up to it. I couldn't remember if you're in the Damper Tribe with us or if you were one of The Lost.

Anything by Slayer, GWAR, megadeth, motorhead, suicidal, priest, or maiden.
This the the first post where I haven't seen a single band on the list. Closest I've come was Pantera in the early 2000s. I do love some Judas Priest though

Great playlist John! I too have a diverse listening genre but one I still don't like is country! I guess it stems back from when I was a kid and my dad would torture us with all that twangy old country music.

It was hard to just pick 10 but some of my other favorites are:

Tom Petty - Really anything by him as he has such great music. I have the free Sirius trial in my Jeep now and listen the the Tom Petty station all the time.

Dobie Gray - Drift Away
Elvin Bishop - Fooled around and fell in love
England Dan & John Ford Coley - Lots of great songs by them.
Jim Croce - To many to chose
Orleans - Still the one
Silver Chair - Tomorrow
Spin Doctors - Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
Our Lady Peace - Superman's Dead
Godsmack - To many to list
Disturbed - Down with the sickness
Motley Crew - To many to list
Kid Rock - Only God Knows Why
Ted Nugent - All of them!
Blackfoot - Highway Song/Train, Train
Linkin Park - All of them! RIP Chester. :(
Drowning Pool - Bodies
Velvet Revolver - Fall To Pieces
Dio - Holly Diver
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Tell Me Baby
Foo Fighters - All of them
Finger Eleven - Paralyzer
Seven Mary Three - Cumbersome
Silverchair - Freak
The Toadies - Possum Kingdom
Corrosion Of Conformity - Drowning In A Daydream
Three Days Grace - Painkiller

I could go on and on but now I'm really felling old! ??
no you feel young and strappin!!!
"since all those are on my spotify list and have the cds still"

I can't believe with all of the old people here none of you mentioned Jimmy Hendrix. I'm stunned, and ashamed. I know my list is quite diverse, and some songs a bit obscure. But, there's so many it's hard to pick just ten. :)
"Note: I missed that Phil had a Hendrix song in his mix. Apologies to Phil."

Stone Free - Jimmy Hendrix
25, or 6 to 4 - Chicago
Screaming Night Hog - Steppenwolf
You could have been a lady - April Wine
Fantasy Girl - 38 Special
Dreamer - Supertramp
Thunderstruck - AC/DC
Lonely Boy - Andrew Gold
My whole world ended - David Ruffin
Shake me, Wake me - The Four Tops

Phil had Hendrix on his list too. I applaud Supertramp being on the list! I added yours to the Prime playlist.

I must have missed it on Phils list, I scanned fairly fast. Kudos to Phil. Dreamer by Supertramp has some of the best backing music I've ever heard. And, the harmonies are fantastic IMHO.

I can remember hearing Goodbye Stranger for the first time in the early 90s and being blown away by the fact that I'd never heard of them before that lol.

@Tracy Bowman Wow Tracy, I think you, and me are about the only ones that even know "Winning". Carlos Santana is one of the best guitarist in the business. If you haven't already, check this one out. Chad Kroeger finally found his way on this one. :)

I know tastes change over time, but what’re your top ten songs right now?

Me? Why… thanx for asking…

(in no particular order)

American Metalhead - Sebastian Bach

Redneck - Lamb of God

Trouble Is Your Middle Name - Whitesnake

The Undertow - Lamb of God

Reclamation - Lamb of God

Voices - Alice in Chains

Embers - Lamb of God

Cloud Factory - Jinjer

Sun’s Up Top’s Down - Yngwie Malmsteen

Blur - Mark Morton
I'd never heard Lamb of God before. One of yours came on this morning on my way to work - a little too metal for 4am but your user name definitely fits haha

That is very good!:inlove: I received my first record player when I was in 3rd grade. My parents bought me an instrumental album - Billy Strange playing guitar. I thought odd at the time, but I played it over and over and loved it.
Bought my Grandson and myself a guitar each at Christmas. Think I can teach myself to play like Carlos Santana?
