Wheel Spacers - Difficult to remove?

Eventually I would like to wheel spacers to my Tremor but I am curious if anyone has any issues getting them off when they need to replace their rotors? Is anti seize recommended?

They’re not hard to get off with an impact wrench or a breaker bar. Only thing you should be using on the threads for wheel spacers is loctite.

I've had wheel spacers on my 03 Explorer for years (they were free), and i found that they usually came right off. If not, it was usually a little surface rust trying to hold them in place and a little thunk with a persuader did the trick.

I put a very thin amount of anti seize where the spacer meets the rotor on mine when I had them on

Same here. But first I wiz wheeled the rotor surface clean then did it.

I like using Anti-Seize (I still have a tin of it from 30 years ago!) but Loctite ThreadLocker might be pretty effective and safe (I'd rather fight to get them off then to have my wheel pass me!). =D

The layer of Loctite will help prevent water and then rust from forming, and as said earlier, a breaker bar (and maybe a persuader pipe extension) should break them free.

I have a 1972 FJ40 that I've driven since 1976 and any bolt I've turned has anti-seize on it. Great stuff and it won't wash away.

The Loctite on threads is actually not recommended on the factionfab instructions.... It is logical though, think about it....Do you Loctite your wheel nuts? No, that is why we torque them down.

I also plan on using Anti seize against the rotor.

As far as the spacers (1 inch) I'm going to us orange loctite and torque the studs to 100 ft lbs. Same with the wheels, 100 ft lbs.

Careful with the loctite on the wheel studs, some spacers are very clear about not using any.

The video I saw on faction fab spacers the dude said to use loctite. I think Bora instructions say not to. Go figure...

Funny, the paper instructions said not too. I would need to go through my garage. To be safe, I would always recommend checking torque after the first few hundred miles.
