Fuel in oil

Hi Guys,
I haven't been able to read all 139 pages, but have skimmed, sorry if I end up asking a repeat question. So I have been checking my oil levels weekly since changing my oil in late November. I changed at around 5k miles. I noticed that the level was slowly rising, but didnt think anything of it due to not smelling like gas. Maybe im freaking out a little, but today I checked it before I drove and after I got home and I noticed a distinct gas smell that I did not smell before. Mind you, its not like huffing a gas can, but its there. The level as of tonight is almost over the twist in the dipstick. From what I'm reading here it seems like Ford/Dealers are willing to fix it or wont recognize it as an issue. I'm not sure if I should contact a dealer asap, or wait maybe a month or so to see if it gets better or worse? Im only at 6500 miles or something so I got plenty of warranty left, but would just like to know your thoughts, especially those of you who have gone through this before.

Get a Blackstone report on your next oil change, then you will know for sure

Less trouble to me than starting something with the dealer. There is a lot of hype on here, you may not even have a problem

I have the CFM breather. I feel like it helps, but have no data to back it up. So far, my Blackstone reports have been good. Make sure you order some wrist sweatbands to put around the filter part

I don't think the UPR was available when I purchased the CFM (or I didn't come across it). For the CFM I think I ended up purchasing one for the Ecoboost 2.0. I looked at the UPR just now am curious when you get it on if you experience any oil getting past the screen after long trips. The CFM has a two stage baffle with a little ball to seal it off when excess pressure isn't venting, but some oil still gets by. Part I think is due to the angle of the hole and that it is so close to the motor, the tube part isn't very long

Perfect! I'll report back once I install it and get some miles on it.

Reading UPR's description, this one also has a check ball and prevents air from coming into the crankcase, plus four baffles.

I just ordered the OEM engine cover too, hopefully that will help keep things cleaner/ easier to clean.

Yup very possible. I had a Blackstone kit sitting around but since I moved I have no idea where it is.

FYI Blackstone is now using different mailers. You can read all about it here, but tl;dr is that if you have older collection kits, you can still use them BUT your samples will likely get there faster if you get the new collection kits from them.

I discovered it quite by accident just a couple days ago when I was looking for something else on their website. I actually need to order some new ones for myself.

Had the dealership closest to me change the oil at 5k. Checked it the other day and I'm well above the fill line at 9500. Will be taking it in at 10k and making sure they are aware of the overfill issue. Most of my driving is short-in city trips.

I got my Blackstone oil sample back,7200 miles total on pickup,trace of fuel in oil,which they said is nothing to worry about

If you do a lot of short trips,or drive like a old man or woman,(no offense)take it out ,put it in s mode,rev that baby up to 5500-6000,that’s what I did after my oil level rose on dipstick,then after a while it dropped

i Run Mobil 1 advanced full synthetic,I change it every 3000 miles,better safe than sorry,with turbo engines it’s important to keep it changed regularly,that’s just me though!

Has anybody who does alot of short trips in cold weather tried a oil pan heater. Don't know if it would do any good but you would think starting out with the oil heated would have to help?

Have 1900 miles on my 21 Tremor and have appointment next Wednesday for fuel in oil. When I bought the truck in November the oil was at max fill hole in dipstick. Currently 1/4 to 3/8 inch above max fill hole.

Hopefully they will diagnose and resolve the issue. Assuming leaky injectors and/or leaky hpfp.

I noticed you are in Tennessee too. Please post if your dealer actually does anything about your complaint.

The two dealers I have talked to refused to do anything about it. They didn't even care about the Blackstone report. Ford Customer Service told me they wouldn't do anything for me either.

What was your fuel level on the black stone report?
