Installing LED Fog Light Pods

So I got a pair of Diode Dynamics fog light pods. To get the fender liner out to remove the factory housings you have to remove a few bolts. One of the bolts is behind the crash bar. I was trying to figure out how to go about as the only video on found on install had the crash bars removed.
Maybe I am just missing something. I was trying to make it a quick afternoon job but, I was running out of light and patience so I didn't get it done. Any "Pro-Tips" on installing lights?

The first time I in stalled them it took 2 hours fighting everything. Trust me it was no fun.

I had go back and install some spacers to angle the lights down. I found the best method that woked for me was to lay on the ground perpendicular to the truck. Reach up using one hand to do everything by feel.

I don't think I even loosen the crash bars the second time around. Took way less time about 35 mins and was way less stressful. Definitely recommend get a cardboard box to lay on. Preferably a nice heavy duty thick one.

I put the truck on ramps to give me room to eyeball and reach between all the stuff in the way. I tried laying on the creeper and looking up but could not see what i needed to do. the ramps gave me just enough peep space to make it work

I did exactly as stated above, I removed the front plastics and got underneath and reached up and did it by feel. I turned the wheels to make room on each side. Below are pics of what I did.

Also the smallest tools helps. Not much room to work with. Managed to change mine out that way.

Thanks for input everyone. I just ordered an electrician's 1/4" mini ratchet to try and reach the torx from below. If all else fails I will wait until I have access to my dad's lift some time around Christmas.
Let's go in for round two and see how many new swear words I can invent!

I just put the pods in Friday. I put the truck on ramps to give me room to slide around on my creeper. Took the skid plate and little air dams off. Was able to get to everything from underneath. You don't need to go through the wheel well or remove the crash bars. Also, the bracket behind the fog lights doesn't need to come out Each light pod has four small T25 torx screws holding it in. Removing the factory pods was the toughest part Putting the new ones in was a breeze.

Yeah I just used a small ratchet with an extension. I did pickup one of those handheld ones from Home Depot made by Husky. Don't bother! I broke 2 of them. Don't over tighten. It's metal into plastic.

The key for me were some offset wrenches to get that plastic off. Once it was gone the job was easy. Getting that off though was a huge pain

Damn that would have been totally worth the money. I was too determined to get those little bastards off, but I really should have just gotten a set of these. Would have saved me a lot of grief.

The fog lights on these trucks are indeed a little bit of a pain to get to. As many have stated there are a couple ways to get those lights in pending what route you want to go.

1) I chose to remove all of the air dam/plastic pieces that were unnecessary.

2) I then turned the wheel towards the same side we were working on to get us some room to get under there with a creeper. I also took the plastic air channel out too to help me see what was going on easier.

3)Once I did, I took a mini socket and torx bit and were able to reach up in there and slowly (and patiently) remove the screws.

4)When I got to the other side, I tested out removing the bolt that holds the metal bracket behind the fog light and loosened it up. Although not required, it did allow me to get my hand up there a lot easier. SO for me, doing that helped a ton.

Basically exactly how I did the job today.

Removed Skid Plate. Needed to do this anyways to install the RC Buckle Conversion (which for Tremors you will need to modify the holes on the front of the skid plate).
Removed 8mm screw holding air dam to bracket.
Removed 10mm screw closest to center of vehicle holding air dam to bumper.
Pushed the air dam towards the wheel allowing the bracket to hold it out of the way.
Removed bulb from housing.
Pushed wiring aside.
Removed the (4) torx screws with a 1/4" socket wrench.

Install in reverse. Was a pretty quick job overall.
