Have you checked the connection on the battery where the BMS connects on the top? If that's not loose then your Ranger is possessed.I shut it off and the symbol goes away then, when I put the truck in park, the symbol re-appears without any type of message on the dash. Crazy huh?

I don't think its that (at least for mine) because I had a new battery installed and keep it on a maintainer and it still does it. It seems to do it when I shut off the truck then turn it on again quickly.I have wondered myself many times
My speculation is it has to do with low battery, however just speculation. May be unrelated. Happens intermittently
Anyone have an issue with your warning chime getting high pitched? Also noticed that the ASS turned itself on after I turned it off…?
I turned off every chime except 'Key In w/door open" as they drive me nuts, also turned off ASS.
Here's what you're looking for, start at the 6;30 mark. Hopefully that's it for the A/S/S issue.I’ll definitely check when I get home, thanks!
I wasn't referring to the pedestrian warning or rear cross traffic alerts. I meant the rear seat, door opening, start up, and key in door closed chimes as well as the 'Hello" chimes, way to much!I use a nightlight to disable A/S/S but the chimes for the front and rear sensors is where I get the high pitched sounds from. I do like these as people here will just walk and drive in front or behind you without even looking so I leave them on.
I have tinnitus so it all sounds the same to me. lolI wasn't referring to the pedestrian warning or rear cross traffic alerts. I meant the rear seat, door opening, start up, and key in door closed chimes as well as the 'Hello" chimes, way to much!
