I had to Google that myself. :)
Its a small world. I live in your city. Did you work for PSC? How long have you been retired. I have a little knowledge of PS comms and equipment.

The reason gas goes into the oil is simple

An engineering marvel really
Since the engine is gdi, no injectors spray gas on the vavles to clean them. Well with turbo and all the vavles get a carbon buildup. So to help mitigate that, gas in the oil
As the oil makes its way to the intake, and over your vavles, the gasoline in the oil helps to clean the valves. Which is why 93 octane is recommended, to keep a high octane fuel cleaning the valves!

I love science!!!

Ok ,I can confirm what most of you guys told me,drive it in s mode ,got those rpms up,oil level should go down.
checked it this morning and it is going down a little which is great news.
so everybody that’s experiencing oil level rising on dipstick, especially in winter,if you don’t drive it hard,do it!
it does make a difference.
it’s so much fun in s mode, and in town I keep it in s mode to keep the rpms up

Not advisable on a cold engine, wait for the temp gauge to move up.

Alternator change procedure:
Step1 ) Get tools and parts.
Step 2) Get case of beer
Step 3) Get ear plugs for any children within 200 meter earshot.
Step 4) Get on your back.

The rest will work itself out..

User name checks out.
I've decided I'm sticking with the Ranger unless they offer me a comparable F150 for the same price which we know will never ever happen.

Why even include a ridiculous option that you know won't happen?

I've decided that unless I when the Power Ball or Mega Millions today, I'm going to work tonight!

I'm not sure what to feel about this whole thing. I've had my truck since late 2019, change the oil and filters every 5K miles at the dealership so I don't really KNOW what oil they're using, check the oil maybe twice between oil changes, and just drive the truck daily. So far, so good. Nobody's said I have any kind of gas-in-oil problems to date.

Am I an anomaly, or do many of the rest of you just do basic maintnance stuff and just driiiiive the trucks?
your experience mimics my own..... my FX4 XLT just turned 37,000 miles and is exactly two years old - I take it on a lot of road trips, take it desert wheeling, and it's been 100% rock solid.
I have the dealership do the oil & filter at 5k miles, and rotate the tires. I'm sure they're filling with whatever bulk oil is in their tank - and it's worked great.
The only items not stock on my truck are the A.R.E. topper and Fox 2.0 coilovers in front, Fox shocks in back, with 2" leveling lift, riding on slightly taller Nitto Ridge Grapplers
