Awesome looks like you will treat the Ranger well.

Oh no, what I meant is I was stupid to not give it 500 miles or so after throwing the tune on to go bat out of hell mode. There are no noticeable consequences but maybe down the far line something might come up.

Just a thought on how generally you want to break in a vehicle. I bought the Ranger new, drove 500 miles stock. Threw the tune on and started beating on it immediately. Either way I had fun, just a peace of mind thing really.
Oh yeah!! Valid point. I may try and drive 1000 miles before I “beat on it” so to speak lol but first thing is I’m draining whatever oil is in there from the factory and putting in LiquiMoly.

Hey one favor to ask. You think you can measure something for me?
I’m using @CarbonTremor pic lol
Can you measure the distance on those two yellow lines??

I’m having a custom Ranger Tremor decal made with the Raptor style font and they need measurements.

Nice, that’ll be real nice for your engine :) EDIT: Factory oil has zinc in it for break in purposes. Good to know.

Unfortunately I cannot help you with that as I have a Scab. The bed is longer by a foot, I think the dimensions might be off. You would have to ask someone with a Screw.

Hah, I can only imagine with the certain attitude Taco owners have.

Oh, something I wanted to mention was you are going the full performance route with tune, exhaust, and CAI. Consider Mishimoto intercooler charge pipe/boot kit. It is $450 and the best performance mod I got. Considering you have the power to utilize that extra air flow, which you do. I would say it is almost silly not to get the charge pipe kit, most power boost you will get(besides the tune) and makes the truck feel very, very good.
Back to your suggestion on the charge pipes…

How difficult is it to install these??
Also, I see the one your talking about here > https://www.stage3motorsports.com/M...ishimoto-black-intercooler-pipe-boot-kit.html

Looks like the AFE is a little cheaper.

I’ll ask my guys over a LiquiMoly what they think is best for the break in period. You make a valid point. Thanks for bringing that up.

Sure, how close to the rear taillight edge do you want to start it ? 1" ?
I'd say just start right at the edge of the light where the light meets the body. Just to make it simple. Then if you want to measure the distance from where the fender curves out to the top of the bed.

If you have the tools, which are pretty basic ones, then I would say fiddling around in the dark for 3 hours. If you looked at the instructions and followed them to a T and do it in good light, 1-2 hours. I am not mechanically knowledgeable in no way but getting comfortable with bolt ons.

Heck, I tried to do it in the dark and only finished one side before it got too late. Drove on it to grab something from the store and finished the other side hahaha.

I cannot speak on the AFE one however, let me put out one distinction of Mishimoto R&D. The charge pipe BOV section is turned sideways so a tall aftermarket BOV can fit without cutting out some heat shield from the hood :)

What’s your beef? You just like trolling and talking shit or what? That’s the second negative comment on this thread. If we knew each other that’d be one thing. It’s a good laugh for me, but just curious

there's no beef.
stick around long enough, you'll love me or hate me.
Or choose to love or hate dependent on the comment made. It seems if RP feels nice and warm he will offer helpful advice, if he is feeling a little grinchy he will be sarcastic and dry. All in good faith, at least good RP faith.
