Just had BFG KO2's in 265/70r18 mounted on the factory 18" wheels. No rubbing and haven't had to adjust my front crash bars as of now. Plan to install a 2.5" level in the next couple weeks but what a difference over the factory size. Wish I would've taken like for like pictures before/after to have a better comparison to show.

sorry for this question but want to make sure as I want to go 275/70r17 stock no lift

are you saying right now you have 265/70r18 with no lift and it fits just fine?

Yep! The factory Hankooks were a 265/60r18 (minus the spare underneath) and after spending what seemed like weeks decided on a tire size, the 265/70r18s fit with no issues for me. I read where some folks adjusted their front crash bars up some if they had rubbing but I haven't had to do that and also that the KO2s run a hair smaller than others of the same size. I'll also add so far I've only been driving through the city and haven't really tested the fitment flexing it any but probably won't get the opportunity till my 2.5" level is installed anyways.

much thanks. So diameter would be fine just now unsure of width as the 275 is 0.4" wider

Part of the reason I stuck with 265 width was because I thought I'd read on here that some folks had a worry of the tire making contact with the UCA on the factory wheels due to backspacing but I'm not positive on that because I planned to stick with a 265. Looking at the tiresize.com comparison to my 265/70r18 it looks like you'd be at least fine as far as crash bar fitment goes but I'm far from the expert.

yeah I was looking at that exact calculation. the 275/75r17 post has a lot of people saying it is close to the UCA but still do able but most have lifts/levels so I wasn't sure about the height on none levels. Actually I am trying to talk myself out of spending the money for them now. Only reason I want them on my stock rims that are like yours is for looks.
I really want to get a level and then the black rhino armory rims with the 275/70 but that will be a bit.
What I should have done was order the truck with basic rims and tires, no fx2 or sport and spend the money on mods. But I order the truck before reading this forum. Live and learn

Here is a before and after of my 21 Ranger. Running 295/70r17 Toyo RT's, Method wheels 17x8.5, Eibach pro comp front suspension set @ 3.5". Front crash bars removed, slight rub on the rear crash bar in a full crank in reverse.. Plan to remove those at some point.

Hey I did the exact same thing, approaching it the same and I'm still happy with it at the end of the day.

@janitorjim knew these pictures would be useful, never posted them. I would not go wider with no lift no crash bar removal no spacers.

you wouldn't go wider then a 265?
Correct, and I am pretty sure multiple people previously in this thread measured out that it would hit spindle over 265 without any mods.

yeah I have read so much between this thread and the 275 thread that I don't remember what is what. Guess I will stick with the stock 265/65 until I can go all in
thanks !

I did the same brother. It took me a year before I finally figured out what would be best for 18 in tires without any lift or crash bar mods. Good on you waiting before you can go all in, never settle!
