Same here brother Dave. Being retired I am a bit flexable, and I'm hoping we'll get a little lead time to make those plans. As I understand it Granger knows there will be some delivery delays when it comes to us who are driving a long distance to pick ours up. That should help some as we can't drive 1100 miles straight though to Granger, IA. Heck, at my age it's getting difficult to make 400 miles a day anymore. Our plans is to be in Des Moines on the third day, pick up the Bronco the next day, and spend the night in Des Moines again. The reason for the 2nd night is I have no idea what time we'll pick it up, and how long it will take to get the incedentals finished. And, I'm hoping all that will happen before winter sets in up that way. :)
We're going to also spend an extra day or two in Granger. One I want to but some break in miles on it before just hitting the highway and Two I don't want to be half way to South Dakota and find out there's a bunch on warning lights going off.

I just saw the 2 new colors for '22. Nothing that would make me change my mind but the green is kind of sharp. Not sure I like the Hot Pepper Red but I would have to see it in person to decide.

I'm guessing it'll be offered in the Ranger too seeing as they're both made at MAP. I just cant see them offering it only on the Bronco when they have they spray booths set up for particular colors during a run. The new B&P should be out by mid September.

Emails started going out today. More delays for the 8000 Broncos made and sitting in the dirt parking lot waiting for replacement roofs.
Mine is one of them :'(

The green is nice, but I'm going to stick with the Area 51. I want something that doesn't show dirt so bad as I'm getting lazy, and don't wash my vehicles as much as I used too. I've seen the HPR on a Ranger, and it just didn't do anything for me.

After seeing one in person I’m not a fan of the softtop. I hope the hardtop is better. This does not bode well for the electric F150 I am waiting on.

I agree Tom personally I don't like the ST one bit. There's been a few who have already damaged theirs when pulling into their garages and forgetting it was only half way open. In the fully open position it's not a problem but half way it's like a big sail. Plus they're was less secure as far as being broke into. We'll see come October when the new hard tops are "supposed" to be ready to go.

Saw a Bronco at the dealership and snapped some pics for those thinking of purchasing one. It sure is a beauty in person.

Nice to see a 2dr! ? Seems like almost every dealer is getting the 4dr with the soft top. Hopefully Ford gets this hard top mess corrected in October (not holding my breath) so they can ramp up production again.

I was very impressed I will say. Ive seen the Sport in person about a month ago and there’s no comparison!! For a 2 door this one was huge. Jeep has to be shaking in their boots!

I saw the pre-production 2dr back in December 2020 at a local dealer here. It was bigger than I thought it would be be not overly huge. I did get o see and test drive a 4dr soft top at the end of July. They do drive very well and now it makes waiting that much harder! Although with all the problems lately I'm starting to second guess even getting one. Good thing is I still have a while so I can see how others perform once they get theirs.

Found this on B6G...Figures the root of the hard top issues started in....China! When will these companies realize that trying to save a buck outsourcing stuff will usually cost them more in the end? :headbang:

https://www.wardsauto.com/vehicles/ford-bronco-roof-issue-recovering-covid

Ford executive Hau Thai-Tang says the automaker is helping supplier Webasto get out of the jam created by the Bronco roof-quality issue, which is delaying shipments of what is promising to be a monster hit for the company.

The supplier, Webasto, had ordered the tooling from a supplier in Wuhan before COVID-19 surfaced there in 2019, according to Thai-Tang.

As the pandemic spread, the tooling was late reaching the factory Webasto opened in 2019 to deliver components to Ford and was at the root of the delays in starting production of the Bronco, which made its official debut in the summer of 2020, Ford officials acknowledge.

“They couldn’t get the tooling,” Thai-Tang tells journalists at a Ford event hosted during the recent Woodward Dream Cruise in metro Detroit, “and then they couldn’t come here to help integrate it and make it work properly.”

Even as production began, more problems ensued with the Bronco roof. “It just didn’t look right,” says Ford spokesman Mike Levine. Since the Bronco is a critical product for Ford, the company wanted to ensure every Bronco (pictured below) could completely satisfy customers, he adds.

We're giving our country away to China bit, by bit. With most all of the batteriers for the new electric vehicles being made in China they will have us where they want us. Bent over, just waiting......Ignorant damn politicians.

Received this in an email this morning, finally some good news. New hard tops will start shipping out within a week. I would have to ASSume that these are tested and ready to go or else Ford might as well scrap this mess now. ?

https://www.freep.com/story/money/c...rd-bronco-hardtops-ready-shipping/5754266001/

Ford Motor Co. will start shipping within one week new hardtop roofs to dealers waiting to replace the faulty ones on 2021 Broncos already delivered, the Free Press has learned.

Also, Ford will be installing the new tops in 2021 Broncos that have been held back, then shipping those vehicles.

"Testing has been completed," Mark Grueber, Ford Bronco marketing manager, told the Free Press on Tuesday. "We're ramping up production of the new roof."

Ford will contact customers when tops are ready to be installed.

Thousands of customers are waiting for the new hardtops.

I got that one. We can only hope this is the case, and things can get on track to start full production. The thing I'm waiting for is for the other constrained options to kick in full force, and slow the entire process down again. But, I can't blame everything on Ford. I have a long time friend that owns our local Chevy dealer. At last check she had 14 new vehicles on the lot with 11 being trucks. And yesterday I rode by our local Hendrick's auto kingdom that includes, Toyota, Honda, Hyundia, Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler. If it wasn't for the small number of used vehicles spread thin their lots would be empty also. Sadly there's enough blame to go around for this shit, but it is what it is. Maybe one day you, and me will actually see our Broncos.
