Hi. I'm in need of the spring that mounts to the rear brakes for the parking brake. I feel like I've searched to the end of the internet, but I can't seem to find an exploded parts view or a part number for this little spring. I have a 2020 Ranger 4x4.
Does anyone know if this spring is available? OEM or aftermarket, I don't care it is just a spring.
Please do not tell me that I have to buy the entire caliper assembly just to get this little spring. I'm already bent that I have to buy a rear axle assembly just to replace the leaking seal. (Don't get me started.)
Thanks,
Ethan

Why are you buying the axle instead of Ford?

Salvage title.

My point is having to buy a $300 assembly for what should be a $15 replacement seal.

Just an update, turns out you do have to buy the whole caliper if you want to replace only the spring. Why am I not surprised that I need to spend $100 for what should be a $5 part.

I've thought about that, but it is hard find used parts for such new vehicles. Too many people buying up wrecks and flipping them. Plus, I'm no where near a junkyard.

Maybe worth a shot....
Maybe try some of the aftermarket companies like PowerStop...they sell upgrade kits for front and rear. Their stuff must use some type of the same spring on their rear calipers...
Possible they have the part you need.
E-Bay has a few rear Ranger calipers, around 60-70 bucks...used.
Your probably not going to have any luck at a salvage yard as they want to sell the entire working caliper. If they sell you just the spring, their left with a non working caliper.
