Yesterday: 5am drive to hike at Iron mountain. Morning lightning drizzle, first rain out on roads for a while. Only slightly wet but the oils must of came out. Hit my throttle a little too hard and truck hydroplaned. Weird how time slows down in moments like this. Kept calm, slowly released foot off throttle and let the truck do its thing for a second and then when more control was in balance I looked the way I wanted to go to straighten out then I counter steered. Didn’t end up like a mustang coming out of a corner today.

Swapped out the factory rims with Lariat rims I bought off another forum member. Added new rubber(just at 36K miles), and my blackout is just about complete. I was going to go more offroad style tires but with my truck being a commuter vehicle, I had my set picked out at Discount Tire. Road Hazard warranties are worth every penny.

I still have to fix the front grille assembly, then will paint the tow hooks red to match the FX4 decal.

Been awhile since Ive done anything, but today installed my RTR fender vents and removed my FX4 stickers.

Installed a Racechip GTS on my diesel 2.2, 160hp, 387nm. Claimed to make 29hp and 102nm extra, I was expecting half. I do not care about hp, since it's a diesel and horse power are a measure of torque x rpm, and rpm are a rare thing on diesels. Yet, I was hoping to feel at least 50nm extra, not 102nm. I've tried all the 7 maps, including 0, which is stock. I can say I feel a slight difference, but it could be placebo. A dyno is hard to get in my area. Does anyone know if crank torque can be read via forscan? The delta should indicate an accurate value. Turbo psi could also be read, but those are fooled by the piggyback solution.
