If you're going to spend the money anyway and change your own oil, at least look at the ValvoMax setup. I got one for mine. Was tired of splashing oil all over the garage floor.

Thank you for the suggestion, appreciate it.
I only put 5k miles a year on the trucks (now 2-3k on the Raptor and Ranger), ride a MC most of the year. I'll give some thought to installing this system. I'm retired and have nothing but time and just changed the oil at 1K, other than removing the skid plate wasn't that bad.

How does that work? Do you have to hold that lever up the entire time you are draining the oil?
First off you don't have to remove skid plate for a change. (You do 1 time to install it) Attach the hose fitting. Then pull a plastic lock clip, and open the valve. It stays open. Takes a few minutes longer but not bad. When done, flip the lever closed and remove the hose and put the safety clip back on. It's that easy and no mess. I can drop my filter and run the hose simultaneously in the same pan.

I looked at these. Short term fine. Long term with road grit and other gunk buildup I thought twice about it.
Maybe throw some anti-seize on the threads and it should be fine.
