Good commercial BUT this one is still my favorite animal commercial, all these years later it still chokes me up. If it was filmed today the mayor of NY would probably give them a ticket for crapping on the grass.

If I'm not mistaken... that commercial only aired on TV once. And yeah...someone is cutting onions up in the kitchen again...

I love it! I want one of these for my wife. I'd love to get her into a "full size", four door Bronco when they come out, but she is NOT INTERESTED. She has a small twinge of interest in the Bronco sport though. She is currently in a 2013 Ford Escape that we've had since new, and she likes the vehicle in general and the size. Being the Bronco Sport is is based off the Escape AND has the same engine options AND has all 4x4 capabilities, I think she needs one! ?

Depends which came first. Greatest of All Time, or Goes Over Any Terrain. A quick search shows that Greatest of All Time was Ali's in the early 90's, while the codename GOAT was used for the original Bronco back in the 60's. Obviously one got more notoriety though.

Also, I hate acronyms. Even being the Millennial that I am. I can't tell you how many times I either have to look something up to figure out what someone is saying on here (and around the InterWebs), or more often I just skip over the comment/post because I don't understand it and can't be bothered to learn something like that. I have a hard enough time remembering all the darn acronyms at work, I don't have enough room in my brain for casual ones too. haha
FORD loves acronyms. On their internal Web there was a document of them. It printed about the size of a big city telephone book.:)

Shoulda called it the "Goat" instead of the Bronco . I live in Denver and just the name Bronco makes me cringe, sounds too much like the stinky Broncos.

Having said the above I'd rate the commercial as an improvement over some of the other Ford commercials I've seen lately, last night I saw a Gladiator commercial which was clearly targeted at a younger market segment and I'd assume the avg age of a Ranger owner runs older than that of the Gladiator. There it is that "G" word.

then there is this:

What is goat mean sexually?
goat noun [C] (MAN)

informal disapproving. a man who is very active sexually, or would like to be and makes it obvious: an old goat.

You do realize the Ford family owns the Lions, right? No one, and I mean NO ONE, from Denver or any other city in America has a right to feel bad about their football teams compared to the poster boys for putrid, the Detroit Lions!

What's funny is I said to someone 10 years ago that the then current Escape would be a great platform for a Bronco II, especially if they made it RWD. I've often wondered if the kit to make a Focus RWD would fit on a '12 Escape.

Yup, aired only once...it's one of the most powerful commercials I've ever seen that NOT one syllable is spoken. Not a fan of Bud beer but hell they do have one great marketing dept.!

As a guy who was Mr. Mopar 1st...this one still cracks me up!
its got burning rubber, trucks, a hoard of excited blond chicks, Ted Nugent, checkered flags and burnt hamburgers.

it wasnt so much as a marketing commercial.
they kept the Budweiser connection minimal until the end after their tribute message was played.
that made it about the people, not about the beer.
As a corporation, they did that as best as they could.
agree 100%, I guess what I was thinking about was over the years all their other horse commercials were pretty cool and they did not over play their hand on branding the spots they air. I really like the one with the lost lab pup that in the end is followed home to the ranch by a coyote and all the horses show up, that one made my wife cry..whereas the frog campaign was a bit more cheesy [jmo].

At this point almost every adult in the country, and in many others, knows that the Clydesdales are for Budweiser Beer. That's the benefit of a consistent message over the years.
