I finally got my Ranger repaired.
With only 2k on the odometer this forklift went a bit too far into the bed and damaged my liner, bed box and cab. They had to replace the box and cab panels. Had to wait a couple months because parts were not even in the system, so I had to wait for Ford to enter and price them before my dealer could order them.

Sorry to hear about the damage! I was talking to someone on Wednesday that did the same exact thing (lug nut). I couldn't tell! He siad a paintless dent repair man took care of it.
Well my young school teacher neighbor that has several sports cars looked at it and said..."dude, it's a truck, it gives it character".....lol.
Anyway, he's my tool guy, has everything you could imaging! At least with my new tool set Santa brought me I won't have to bug him as much. He likes ginger beer so I keep him stocked up ;)
Another cool thing about Andrew I just found out....he's running Torque Pro on both his cars so I'm headed over later today to get some instruction from the teacher.

Torque Pro is pretty neat. I've used it to troubleshoot a couple problems with cars in the past. It's neat on my high horsepower Mustang too.

On a positive note....I was able to miraculously upgrade my old Amazon Fire 7 tablet to an android version that would accept Google Play Store. Then I figured out what files to download and more importantly...what versions of the hundreds of files....to work with my tablet. Even though my old arse has an IT background from WAY back...it is quite amazing I was able to pull it off! So because of this I was able to purchase and download Torque Pro. I ordered the dongle last night so just waiting for a wireless connection... more to come on this....I need a mount.

Here is what it will look like in the tray on the dash....fit's perfect. I took this pic down low for appearance. What is wonderful is the height of the Fire 7 tablet is perfect and does not obstruct my vision, I can see above it completely. Just ordered a magnetic mount from amazon. Should have the whole thing up and running by Tuesday evening.

I was going to install a Weather tech bug shield but old man Murphy dislikes me :crying:

1st there were only 7 screws/nuts in the box. ok, I will install it anyway & call them for another set.
then I could NOT get 2 of the screws to be snug, much less tight. I did not trust it like that so I
tried to remove the loose screws. got 1 out but the other one, the head stripped. then 1 of the
screws that was tight, that head stripped. finally removed all the screws/nuts & put the shield
back in the box. called Weather tech & I am on hold....... with ONLY 279 callers ahead of me.
I will try to call another time.

to add salt to my wound, last month I went to install a set of their mud flaps. the front set was missing the pack of screws. took the screws from the rear set to install the front & the bottom hole
was NOT there ! someone forgot to drill it. called them I they sent me a new set of front flaps &
a spare pack of screws within a week. plus a return slip/label for the undrilled flaps.
mud flaps are on & fit good. :like:

I am starting to think Weather tech is not for me.................................

I put weathertech window visors on my wife's truck truck and they make quite a bit of wind noise. Not for me but she is ok with it. I wont put them on mine.
