New Husky tool box to reclaim the back seat from tools and Amazon H11 yellow fogs. Overall very happy with the truck so far and it is coming together to my liking. Going to replace the yellow ditch lights with white LEDs as well, these were just cheap placeholders for a nicer set of lights. Currently looking into a set of ICON Vector 6's or Fuel Rebels as well.

Edit: for anyone looking to do this to their fogs I just bought generic H11 LEDs but did have to use the stock bulb gasket to fit the housing

It's looking REALLY good. I love the color combo. If I end up getting a top, I'm going to follow your lead. IMHO, the second color makes it look more "truck-like" and less like an SUV.
The more XLT's I see with the Gray Metallic trim, the more I think the Gray Metallic shell will look great! :like:

Earlier this week, got the mandated state inspection, it passed, of course (actually exactly 1 year to the day since I got it, Happy Birthday Hot Pepper). The temperature has been a yoyo here in the northeast, 50s and raining on Christmas yesterday and mid-20s but sunny today. That meant the 10" of snow from last week is gone. After taking the Ranger to the winter farmer's market in town this morning, I washed the crap off in the garage. Don't like doing it in there, but too cold outside.

Hi Folks,

Took it to Home Depot in Tucson for a neighbor whose Hot Water tank started leaking. Did not have the HW tank we needed, so Ranger gets to go back tomorrow to pick up the HW heater that will be delivered to the South Tucson store... Ranger is very excited to be in the loop, having sent me a sad email that it was lonely on Dec. 14....

Best,

How was the install? I need to i

How was the install? I need to do mine still
Easy 10 minute job. I followed a YouTube video instead of the included instructions. No need to dismantle anything. Get it in place (it fits. Got to finangle it) and loosely attach bolts. Clean lower tab area and apply adhesive enhancer. Pull up in place then tighten bolts.
Admire!

Assume you don't have adaptive cruise control, from what I've seen, that trim has a big hole in the middle, so defeats the purpose of covering that big hole in the lower grill?

Well last night I came out of Sam's Club to a flat on the rear passenger tire. No problem, changing tires on these things is a breeze. Unfortunately, I learned a lesson about where NOT to place the spare access plug while changing the tire. It seems if you lay it on the rear bumper and then forget and let the tailgate down to put the flat in the truck bed you WILL put a ding in the tailgate. Papaw is now a sad man....

On a positive note....I was able to miraculously upgrade my old Amazon Fire 7 tablet to an android version that would accept Google Play Store. Then I figured out what files to download and more importantly...what versions of the hundreds of files....to work with my tablet. Even though my old arse has an IT background from WAY back...it is quite amazing I was able to pull it off! So because of this I was able to purchase and download Torque Pro. I ordered the dongle last night so just waiting for a wireless connection... more to come on this....I need a mount.

Here is what it will look like in the tray on the dash....fit's perfect. I took this pic down low for appearance. What is wonderful is the height of the Fire 7 tablet is perfect and does not obstruct my vision, I can see above it completely. Just ordered a magnetic mount from amazon. Should have the whole thing up and running by Tuesday evening.
