Speaking of the stubby, I just discovered mine in the glove box yesterday and screwed it on. I wondered why I had really lousy radio reception. Haven't driven it with it on, so not sure how much better it is now.

Haha well, one box of the stuff is 6.4 lbs. A far cry from that ‘69 Mach 1, dang! Not at all concerned about adding a little weight to a pickup, but what were they thinking with that ‘stang!?

I wish I had taken pictures, but I walked out of work last night to find my beautiful Ranger had been poop bombed by what had to be an entire flock of gigantic maniac birds! Sooo....I promptly took it through the car wash. Back to it’s beautifulness now.

I thought birds flew upside down over Alabama??? At least that's what my dad always told me....lol

I was once vacationing in Daytona Beach. A large flock of pelicans released their full bomb load on my rental car. It was totally covered. There was more droppings than paint showing. Better the car than me I guess.

FYI, If anyone got a used Leer cap with a color they dont like you can take it to a leer dealer and they will send it back to be painted the color of your choice for $300. Bret

Just found a Leer for my neighbors Canyon, he bought it, but it's navy & his truck is black. He got a local price of $500!!! Is this correct? Sounds too good to be true; I told him to get me 2 cans of Krylon, but he's super fussy. Go figure, it's only a GM, lol....Trevor

Lol Trevor ! 1.5 years ago I had a chance to get a used cap for my wifes Taco that wasn't right color. I went to local Leer dealer and was getting prices for a new cap and in our conversation I mentioned to him about this used cap and he said no problem. When he received his next order from Leer he would send it back to Leer on their delivery truck and they would paint it for $300. I though it was a good deal but ended up buying new though . Bret

The only reason I didn't get the used one and get it painted was the used one didn't have the tilt in front window which would make it impossible to clean front cap glass. Bret

Yeah, this one has the tilt front window...the seller wouldn't budge on $450, said the one he got on his new truck was $1600...

Worth a shot, try calling Leer dealer. Thats good price as the new one I bought I think was $2400.
