While I appreciate the the statement, no way I am risking my truck getting keyed or worse. I won't even put my PBA decals they send me annually on my truck. Those PBA stickers were a good way to give those on duty a heads up when in a POV.

One smashed tail light is like $1,000.

I’ve run this same one for a couple years and recently lost the little rubber cover it came with at one of those drive thru car washes ?
You can buy a new one - don't ask me how I know. :)

Maybe you could catch them in the act and give them a personal education on proper use of force. ?

Saving up this post for a few recent items:
1. I've been resisting new floor mats, either Weather Tech or Husky, etc, because I moved my old Duck Dynasty mats, bought new at a yard sale, from my old Ranger to my new one. I sort of liked them, but finally bit the bullet and got a front and rear set of Huskys, because of a sale. They do have better coverage of the carpet than regular mats, which will be nice this winter.
2. Also got (4) cheap vinyl, faux carbon fiber, strips for the sill plates, and,
3. Installed door edge guards I liked that I saw on this forum, I am going for protection over looks here, to save the door edges.
4. This last one really gripes me, I got a speeding ticket, first one for the HPR Ranger. The township cop said I was going 59 in a 40 zone. No way, and no way to talk him out of it. I appealed it, cost me a $50 down payment on the total fine of $196, and have a hearing next month. Not sure what my approach will be? It was ENRADD which I was not familiar with, but apparently is a timing device, on both sides of the road (I understand only State Troopers are allowed to use radar in PA). Also understand this system is fraught with errors based on where it hits the vehicle, so maybe my Ranger doesn't cooperate with it, having more ground clearance. We shall see. I know this thread is for what did you do, but maybe we need a Speeding Ticket topic! And maybe what they say about red vehicles attracting the PoPo is true.

One last GRIPE, worse than the fine. The patrolman listed my ranger as being "ORANGE". ORANGE...that's insulting. My daughter's Subaru is ORANGE...this is HOT PEPPER RED, dammit, and it cost extra!!!
Cheers!

Upgrades look great. I have the husky mats and feel that are as good or better than weathertech for less.
Good luck with the ticket, maybe you could claim the officer has poor eyesight and use the example of him calling your trucks color orange when it’s Hot pepper RED.

I doubt you will be able to successfully challenge the cop or the technique, but it's still worth fighting. Your best bet will probably be to talk to the cop before the hearing and see if he will changee the charge to "failure to obey road signs", which won't give you violation points on your license. Police will often do this if you are polite and ask for a break,

I finally finished making my bed divider. Here's how I made it. I took a photo of my fender vent that has "RANGER" in raised letters. I then enlarged the photo on my computer and printed it out to make a large stencil of the word RANGER. I took an old board I had laying around and painted the front side red. After waiting a few days for it to dry, I covered the red using painters tape. Using the stencil I printed, I trace out "RANGER" on the tape then cut it out with a razor blade. I then painted the whole board black. After it dried a few hours, I removed the stencil, revealing RANGER in red. I waited for it to dry for two weeks just to be sure it was ready for the last step. I then went over it with a non-yellowing, UV protective epoxy. This epoxy stuff is awesome! It's super hard and gives it the covered in glass shinny look.
