Hi all, had a rock crack my windshield, it is what it js, but I am slightly concerned about the quality of the repair.
I called my local Ford Dealer and they quoted me $1200, I am inclined to pay that to ensure I get a quality job, using the OEM FoMoCo glass and ensure that my lane keeping assist is properly calibrated, etc.
Safelite is exactly the same price so it is not like they are appreciably cheaper, I am more concerned that they won't do a good job and they said even after they calibrate the Lane Keeping Assit there is a chance I will still have to go to FORD anyway.
I would be willing to look elsewhere at a local shop, but I wouldn't even know where to start looking for a quality shop.

in the equipment to reprogram various makes and model vehicles after he does a windshield replacement. It seems that new Subaru's are a nightmare, and our Rangers are not to bad. Basically about a 30 minute ordeal after the windshield is installed where he has to drive the truck to re-calibrate the parameters.
