Call me crazy, but the pinch welds on the lower sides bugged me, so tonight I taped them off and sprayed them satin black. Added a finished edge... before and after pictures.

Thanks for the pictures! I have ingot silver also and plan to do the same at some point this summer. Will take a little more work since I'll need to remove the running boards first but will be worth it.

I took the running boards off to paint, and everyone agrees that the Ranger/Super cab looks better/cleaner without them... As do I... I'll keep them off for awhile and see if it grows on me.

Few little things between yesterday and today. Did the interior ranger lettering in matte black, installed the stubby antenna, and did the AVS bug deflector!

How is your radio reception not sirius XM, commercial radio with the stubby?

For the short time I was driving afterwards, I didn’t notice a difference. With a short antenna though you’ll always hve a reception loss regardless, and should be expected.

I filled up the gas tank for the first time. Its weird not having a gas cap. $45.00 with 91 octane. I've gotten used to being able to drive almost 500 miles on a tank that cost $22.00 to fill.

driving today, I noticed some static on a station that’s the furthest away (actually across the state border), but nothing too bad. All my other stations Sounded fine, but I’m in an urban/suburban area.
