2016 Focus ST maybe Ranger in a couple days.
After almost a year of ownership, I finally pulled the trigger on lift, tires, and wheels.

I went with the Icon Stage 2 Coilovers with rear shocks, the ranger-specific ICON ALLOYS SIX-SPEED, 17", Satin Black, and BF Goodrich All-Terrian TA/KO2 285/70/R17
I had the stock intrusion bars replaced with the BDS instruction bar kit.

Pretty much like ICON built their own ranger, except I couldn't afford the Stage 5.

It rides like a dream now! No more floaty soft feeling, bobbing, and my stopping is even smoother. Feels like a solid truck now, like it should!

Before and After Pics below.

Were the BDS crash bars necessary? I loosened mine and moved them forward. Getting my icon stuff installed soon, and 285-70-17 as well.

Actually my biggest question is, did you install your icon coilovers at their preset factory ride height right out of the box? Their customer service doesn't even know ? what they're set at out of the box.

I'm not sure the crash bars were 100% necessary, But seem like a crash bar delete has been fairly common when running the larger tires. And I think ICON even warns about trimming. I didn't want to go completely without crash bars, and the BDS parts weren't too expensive.

The coilovers are at their out-of-the-box settings as far as I know. 4wheel parts did the install for me. I think I've read here that they are set to 2.5 out of the box.

I will get the BDS as well. But do the delete first if they don't arrive before Wednesday.

Thank you. Your before measurements were about 35" and 38" and after was about 39" and 39" so with the 1" sidewall height of the tires that should be about 3" so plus or minus a little bit.

Glad to know yours was installed at the icon factory settings which is what they recommend, and what I'll leave mine at.

Maybe this is an odd question but I'm debating between 275 or 285/70/17. Why you choose the 275 instead of 285? I know the 275 is cheaper than 285 but is there another reason? Also, did you made any modifications like cutting the bars or something?

BTW your truck looks amazing love the combination of the stock wheels with the new tires. I'm pretty sure I'll be doing the same. thank you!!

It was more of a personal preference for me. I did not want to modify crash bars and tried to make sure there was no rubbing. It’s close, but so far no issues.

And thanks!

I broke down and cut my crash bars today. Will replace with BDS in a month or so.

@Fordrangerlifts.com 2.5" level with 265/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W on stock wheels without spacers. Also have the Shrockworks sliders with tread plates and really like them a lot.

Here's some before & after pics .....leveling kit and new wheels/tires....

Used a Suspension Specialists 2.5" Leveling kit, which worked out to slightly over 2" actually (ok with it) and RRW RR2-S wheels - 17X8.5 with 0 offset & Mickey Thompson Deegan 38 All Terrains in 275/65/17.
There were some great deals on these tires, with an $80 rebate if you purchased a set of 4, not sure if it's still going on.

I'll need fender flares now, as the 0 offset wheels stick out a bit more than I like, sure wish they would've had them in 20mm offset, which I think would be about right.

Also installed the Raptor grill earlier.

I installed 20x9 Motometal wheels with Falken Wildpeak AT3W 275/55R20. But have a little problem, I didnt wanted to lift the truck. The thing is that now is hitting in the front. How much should I lft the truck.

Thanks, Ill try that!
If all else fails you can remove them completely instead.

Your tire sidewall says 32" x 10.5"
I'm on 33x11.5, 3" level. I'd say you'd want at least a 2" strut spacer such as the Rough Country ones. But that is some serious rub so I'd modify or adjust the crash bars almost immediately when you get the time.
