2019 Ford Ranger Production Begins at Wayne, Michigan Plant!

Ford knows trucks, and today marked another truck milestone as the company began production of the long-awaited 2019 Ford Ranger midsize pickup for the United States, the culmination of a $850 million retooling project to ready the Wayne, Michigan factory for Ranger production.

To celebrate the occasion, Ford is holding a special event for Ford auto workers to test drive the Rangers that they are building.  The workers will get to ride in preproduction models of the Ranger in an off-road course created in a plant parking lot specifically for the event.

The first 2019 Rangers available to the public should roll off the line in about a week, after all assembly workers return to the plant by next Monday, October 29.
